The time of day isn’t nearly as important in rabbit hunting compared to the weather. Stay up-wind and if it’s cold search out and stalk places where there is clear shelter. There are different techniques and strategies for walking up rabbits. The best hunt is hunting with dogs because sometimes you step on them and they will not move.
Hunting period 1 october - 28 february
The entire pheasant hunting experience, begins with good pheasant habitat, where Romania is a very good place for pheasant hunting. Pheasants usually begin feeding around 8 a.m. when shooting hours begin an hour later, the birds are still feeding, often in grain fields while cautiously making their way toward safe cover. But eventually, pheasants have to eat again. During the late afternoon, the birds move from their loafing spots back to the feeding areas. As in the morning, birds now are easier to spot from a distance and are more accessible to hunters. That's why the first and last shooting hours are consistently the best times to hunt pheasants.
Hunting period 1 september - 20 january
The most common goose that we hunt in Romania is the speckled belly goose. The hunt starts very early in the morning after we set our high performance decoys and build our blinds. Usually geese sleep in the night in lakes and in the early morning they fly to the feeding ground which is mainly planted with wheat. In the night geese fly back to sleep in the lake, the hunt then moves as close as possible to the lake. In general waterfowl hunt depends a lot on weather conditions, so a very stormy, cold, foggy day usually increases the chance of a successful hunt.

The main specie of ducks present in Romania is mallards.There are three basic ways we follow to hunt ducks in Romania. The first and simplest is jump shooting. We search for creek or canal, walk along the banks until you flush a duck, then shoot the bird as it rises off the water. Or sneak up on a pond until you get close enough to jump a duck. The second technique is pass shooting. Hide where ducks fly usually at dawn and dusk as they move between feeding and resting areas. The third way to hunt ducks is with decoys the most difficult and the most complicated of all. Decoys trick the birds into coming close to your blind. Like fooling a flock of mallards so they set their wings and drop into your spread is one of the most thrilling aspects of hunting.
Hunting period 15 august – 28 february
We have some of the finest dove hunting to be found anywhere in Europe. We have sunflower fields, which are a favorite dove food. Dove hunting is a bit tricky because they are migratory birds and when farmers start harvesting their crops doves start to leave. But we make sure we organize the hunt before harvesting starts. Based on group size, we will put you where we know you have the best chance of shooting doves every day. By the way, it is one of my favorite hunts.
Hunting period 15 october - 31 december
Partridge is an upland bird andisan available game in Romania. Good numbers of partridge can be found wherever brushy forest stands provide nesting cover, protection from predators and food.It is the world’s fastest and most challenging. Its vertical takeoff and the sound of its wings unique. Its flight is both rapid and irregular. The direction, speed and height of flight will depend on the terrain.P.S. Only for very good hunters.

Hunting wild quail in Romania, has been a tradition since a long period of time. The native prairie grasses and intense wheat productionmade of Romania an ideal habitat for coveys of wild quail. With good dogs and good organization you can have a great hunt.
Hunting period 1 september - 28 february
Romania has a big advantage in this hunt because it is full of grapes. They cause quite a bit of an upset, now, that the wine harvest is in full swing. The hunt for thrushes is a very nice hunt but as most of the hunt it must be done in cold weather conditions in order to increase the success.
